Yes, things have been fixed, but now we can no longer link straight through to a poster's profile from the main BBS page.

Travelwriters.com Suggestions

I have a suggestion for the Contact Manager. It's a bit confusing when you want to enter a query/assignment/invoice. If there's an email address for your contact, I guess the contact manager sends an email to that person when you click "Report Query." This button should instead read "Send Query" and there should be an option to log a query or invoice without emailing it. I use my own email program for these functions, but I would like to use the travelwriters.com Contact Manager to help organize the phases between query/assignment/submission/invoice. It could be a very useful tool, but I need to trust it not to send emails that I don't want sent.

I also need to trust it to actually work-- frequently when I click the submit button, there's an unknown error. I assume that's some kind of bug, but yeah. It would be nice it that were fixed, too. ;)

A more current roster of editors and the publications they represent is always appreciated.

Love the site, use it often. Would like to see instructions posted about how to add photos to our clips on the site. Thanks!

I think you should exert a huge push so that your publishing links (travelroads.com for example) come up toward the top of the page when readers are executing searches for destinations. I know you're revamping this site, but for those of us hoping to reap some revenue from Google, having so little traffic on the site doesn't serve our needs very well, especially since we post the content for free.

I have some friends who write for about.com, and they get tons of hits for their travel stories. Is there any way to more effectively compete with them?

You have so many fine writers/photographers and destinations on this site. Let's make it a win/win portal for all of us.

Is it possible to hyperlink to the Web sites that were posted in the content?

It's a bit difficult to always have to copy/paste the links our fellow members suggested in order to view them.

Thank you!

There seems to be an increasing number of job listings with no pay. While I have received a few good leads from the job postings over the last couple of years, the quality and quantity seems to be diminishing. It would be great if you could find a way to keep out the nonpaying posts.

Maybe job listings/market listings could be entered with a form that included a mandatory payment field. The listings could then by displayed in descending order of amounts or in "paid" and "unpaid" categories.
