Travelwriters.com Suggestions

Postby barky » June 29th, 2005, 7:00 pm

Hi there,

For some reason, the way the board is laid out now - with the topics and number of posts per topic all way far on the right side of the screen - it makes me tilt my head a little and sort of hurts my eyes when I try to focus on travelwriters.com/bbs. I notice the board's been super busy these last couple of days, though, so it might just be me, but if it isn't just me, then let me suggest that a board with the topics in the center of the screen might be easier on the eyes.

Thanks again for everything,
Barky

I am not sure what you mean by live links. Please clarify. Also, suggestions can apply to any part of the site, not just the BBS.

James,

I LOVE the new layout - thanks! It's so easy on the eyes and it's also very intuitive.

I think live links means that you click on the link and it opens that page in a new browser window.

Thanks again - really fantastic changes.

Does all this portend a redesign for the whole site - do those that be at travelwriters.com have a new vision for this site?

Hi, James!

Thanks for all the excellent work so far … but, there’s just one thing. The twice-weekly ‘dishes’ and other communications to my regular email address have suddenly stopped. But, they are still getting to my OLD address, which I can only access through the Web, and which I only keep active to filter out the unwanted newsletters, hate mail, death threats, crank letters, invitations to share my bank details, etc.

Cheers!

Keith

The way the board is set up now, all the comments are in one line and it's hard to reply to a particular person or establish a sub-threat. I prefer the format used on the board of www.gomobilenotary.com, another professional board that allows for any number of sub-threads.

Hard to reply individually, don't understand the new lay-out. Would you explain how it works?

I like the old way. This looks too much like a scientific chart.
Thank you.
